Il-Ħares tal-Fortizza by Tony C. Cutajar is aimed at young Adults.
A class of girl students in a Secondary school were studying Maltese history during the time of Grand Master De Vilhena. They were told about Manoel Island and the teacher could not refrain from telling them about the ghost which appeared at the fortress. The students were to work on a project dealing with the Grandmaster and his great work in the country, as well as ghost stories. The teachers of Social Studies and Arts and Crafts got involved in this project where drawings of ghosts and the customs during Halloween and Carnival were concerned.
At the same time, another class of boys werre also working on a competition on who dresses as the best mummy. This led to some funny and unusual situations at home and in class but also to a friendship between two girl cousins and two boys.
